LET TED. E. BEAR'S TOY FACTORY
SHOW YOU HOW STUFFED ANIMALS
ARE MADE IN COMMERCIAL TOY FACTORIES!

Our Toy Factory follows the same steps that a commercial toy factory does to complete a stuffed animal.  We show you how this is done in a very interactive way!

We learned at a real toy factory how stuffed animals are made, so we explain to your class the "nuts & bolts" process of making a stuffed animal, from bolts of "fur" material to the completed animal.  Everyone gets to vote on the color of eyes, help manually stuff (and put in a special wish), and vote on ribbon colors, as well as whether the animal is a boy or a girl.  Discussions concerning sewing, safety of eyes, etc., as well as lots of practice in counting occur. The new animal becomes your classroom animal to use as a reward (i.e., for reading the most books in the year), to provide additional opportunities for writing (i.e., take the animal home for the weekend and write about what it does and sees), or for comfort -- You decide how it will be used!

Presentation is adapted for ages, goals of event, and related studies.  Valuable tool for all grades, pre-school and on up!  Tie it into your study of bears, the letter B (for bear), jungle animals, or just a fun event.  (NOTE:  Limit one animal per teacher per year.)

This can be done in our store or in your classroom within a 30-mile radius of Springfield!  For more information, call (417-823-7883) or E-mail us.
