Eight Steps to Making a Personalized "New Friend"
at Ted E Bear's Toy Factory
STEP 1: You pick out the unstuffed shell of the “New Friend” that you wish to make from our wide selection. From the moment you walk in the door, you’ll notice something’s different here – bin upon bin of unstuffed animals who are just waiting for the opportunity to go home with you. They’d be glad to jump up and say to you, “Pick me! Pick me!,” but without stuffing inside them yet, it’s a little difficult to jump up. There’s more than 70 different animals from which to choose -- more than 3 times what most stuff-your-own-toy stores carry! -- ranging in price from $9.99 to $19.99 (which includes everything needed to finish the animal).
STEP 2: You select and help install just the right color and size of eyes – even choose from ones that have a special printed greeting, including, “I Love You,” “You’re My Best Friend,” or “Jesus Loves You.” After eyes are installed, a pre-recorded sound or your own personally recorded message can also be installed, if desired.
STEP 3: You place a special wish inside your New Friend’s head using a cloud of soft, fluffy stuffing which has been sprinkled with glittery Hopes & Dreams, and then you help send soft, fluffy stuffing over to the Stuf-FUN™ Machine.
STEP 4: Now’s the best part: Making your “New Friend” come to life by helping to stuff it on the Stuf-FUN™ Machine! You get to make it feel just right -- not too hard nor too soft.
STEP 5: It’s time to finish up the opening in back, so all those “Hopes ‘n Dreams” and your Wish won’t fall out. But, before that is done, You place one more thing inside: A Guardian Angel, who will keep a protective eye on you and your "New Friend." We'll close it up for you - no sewing needed!
STEP 6: After a wonderful brushing of the fur and a quick trim around the eyes, your New Friend is ready for his or her vacuum bath – the final touch to make him or her feel warm and fuzzy all over! You give it a bath!
STEP 7: You select just the right color of ribbons to complement your New Friend. We’ll tie them on so your New Friend looks great to go home!
STEP 8: Final step – You officially name your animal. Choose to print out a personalized Certificate of Adoption or story of how you made your animal. They’re even signed by the Toy Factory’s owner, Ted E. Bear
So, is it difficult to make your own stuffed toy? No, except for deciding which animal to make! Eager staff members explain and assist you, the Toymaker, in every step of the process. And don’t worry: There’s no way to mess up a stuffed animal at the Toy Factory – it’s guaranteed by ol’ Ted E. Bear, the proprietor of the Toy Factory, himself!
What’s that you say? You can’t bear to let your New Friend go out into the world bare? Not to fear – Ted E. Bear’s is here! With more than 100 different outfits, various separate pieces, and other shoes and accessories from which to choose, your New Friend will be sure to find just the right thing to wear. And, if your New Friend needs to wear home a T-shirt with his or her name, a special message, or photograph on it to help you remember your trip to the Toy Factory, it can be easily created for you.
